Systems to foster subcontractors – Safety Certification Program

Since 2022, our Construction Division has introduced a Safety Certification Program to support partner companies in establishing systematic safety management systems through structured consulting. The program evaluates implementation levels and assigns accreditation grades accordingly. In addition, by giving priority in project participation to partner companies that achieve excellent grades, the division is promoting contractor-led, self-driven safety activities.

Impact of the Subcontractor Safety Certification System

The number of accidents among subcontractors that have established their organizational structures and systems in partnership with Samsung C&T and completed the Safety Certification Program has been steadily decreasing.
To further reduce safety incidents across all subcontractors, Samsung C&T is continuously expanding the number of subcontractors actively participating in the program, while also collaborating with major construction companies to promote the introduction of a Joint Certification Program.
