Civil Works

High Achievement Through Personnel Training
Samsung C&T Engineering & Construction group is active in large-scale, high-visibility infrastructure works such as port construction and bridge building. As can be seen in the case of Turn-key project, we increasingly implement in-house all the major processes from design to actual building work. In order to secure the personnel needed to perform each stage of the job, we send our employees to overseas training courses and in-house education centers under long-term plans. For many years we have invested heavily in hiring and nurturing talents while increasing investment in technology, which has enabled us to be at the forefront of the global civil engineering market.
Experience in a Wide Variety of Projects
Samsung C&T Engineering & Construction group has completed the building of the Youngjong Grand Bridge, the world’s first three-dimensional self-anchored suspension bridge, followed by the completion of the Incheon Grand Bridge, the world’s fifth longest cable-stayed bridge. Recently we also finished building the Neungdong Tunnel in southeastern Korea, one of the longest tunnels in the country. In the area of port construction, we built in 2005 Busan Newport, the nation’s biggest port facility. In addition, we have ample experience and know-how in a wide variety of construction projects, including the Seoul-Busan high-speed railroad, the Taiwan C280 high-speed railway, subway building projects in several countries, the Yongdam Hydraulic Dam, Incheon International Airport, Asan Industrial Complex, the amusement park Everland, and many others.
